Texas Counties Deliver
FRANKLIN COUNTY VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER

NORMAL HOURS are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 9 am to 3 pm, (including lunch). The VSO does make out of office appointments, so it is always a good idea to call in advance. Veteran Visitation Day is the first Wednesday of each month; there are no in-office appointments on this day.

"VETERANS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE..."

Franklin County Veteran Service Officer

A memorandum of understanding between the Counties of Franklin and Titus was entered into in the spring of 2010. Both County Judges and Commissioner's Courts agreed that the Titus County VSO would assist the needs of the Franklin County Veterans without requiring an office or hours on site to be maintained in Franklin County and that Franklin County would pay a mutually agreeable monthly fee to Titus County (not the VSO)for this service ($100 initially). The Franklin County Commissioners Court does not require a monthly report be submitted.  Mileage and Per Diem is not provided by either entity for this service. Presently, the expenses of all out of office appointments to assist veterans in either county has been born by the Veteran Service Officer.
